Blown Motor 31K

So in 2010 i was looking around to by a diesel because my old 86 IDI just wasnt cutting the power to haul my hay trailer. I was looking up on all the specs and forums on the three choices. Ford seemed to be the best pick out of the three. I drove my 2011 crew cab dually around and she hauled like no other truck ive ever drove. This past fall i was taking about 300 bailes over to my brothers house on a hay trailer and the truck started over heating on me. I drove it just a little longer cause my brothers house wasnt to much longer shut it off there let it sit and cool off. Got every thing all unhooked then tried to start it up 20 min later and it cranked over untill my batterys went dead. Hauled it to the ford dealer ship they told me a a couple days later that it was blown up dropped a long block in it that was under warranty and didnt have a problem since because i sold it. That was the end of my powerstroke story.

if it was over heating why did you continue to drive it? sounds to me like Ford stood behind it even after you decided to ignore your gauges.

This just doesn't make any since to me?

You join a powerstroke forum to tell everyone that your 6.7 blew up after you pushed it when it was overheating and you don't even own the truck anymore? I don't get it, why join a forum to *itch, especially even if you don't own the truck anymore?

Forums are for helping people? Do you need our help? Apparently not?

Sorry for venting but I'm just sick and tired of seeing posts like this.

i read this off a mustang forum and this is my message to all people who come on here to ***** or who hate.. honestly sounds like you had a good truck considering you said it hauled like no other, and ford stood behind it.. you drove like a pretentious a$$ hole and over heated your truck till it blew.. who's fault is that?

what i read off another forum:
"I've owned Chevrolets, Oldsmobiles, Fords, and Mopars. My heart lies with Mustangs, though. Don't get me wrong, I'm all over the turbo forums and always have my nose in magazines, drooling over everything and anything with 4 wheels and an impressive timeslip. I appreciate a fast, tasteful, and well put together machine, regardless of brand, but it's counterintuitive to go on a forum dedicated to a particular car, and hear multiple members putting down the aforementioned car over and over again, and conceding defeat. It always leaves me scratching my head..."

Lol! Thanks. Troll is what I meant to say. I don't really dedicate much time to dealing with Internet tough guys who just want to stir the pot. At least I have the correct term now.

Truck in the avatar pic sure does look like a platinum. Didn't know they made those in 2011.
