Question Wrench symbol (electronic throttle control)

Sorry Rookie at the helm Should be under 6.0 litre engine. 05 6.0 lt runs good but one issue I cant seem to get around is this wrench symbol that pops up under high turbo boost conditions! I have had a diagnostic comp hooked up to try and capture a code and it shows nothing but the wrench light on the dash. Obviously there is a performance issue once the wrench light is on. wont surpass about 18-20 psi of boost. Pull over, power down, power back up and off to grannies. most of the time it occurs, i am towing, but can make it happen climbing hills empty (my foot into the throttle) seems i can manage if i continually monitor the boost gauge but dodge chevy and other fords with similar loads are leaving me in the dust . Ford dealership has no express knowledge of this and tell me i need to bring truck into dealer ship with wrench light on. HELP!!!!
