dpf sensor

A friends 6.7 had a dpf sensor failure and caused a no throttle code. Replaced sensor works perfect. Should i replace mine? Ford dealer hasnt ever sold one until his. They say it most always requires a new dpf filter because it is hard to remove. Its 4 sensors total. 30$ each.

Why replace it now if it hasn't failed and it's not common? If you replace it with the same part and they haven't redesigned the part, aren't you are just as likely to have the failure?

My 2011 is curently having front crank seal replaced because of leaking oil. Only 30, 000 miles.
