Hesitation/Miss fire under accelaration when cold

Love my new truck but have experienced this twice under light accelaration when engine is cold or has sat for several hours! Some what like a backfire type hickup feeling.

I had a Dodge 6.7 that acted similiar but did it after being warmed up on a few occasions. I think it was due to all the emmision stuff clogging the engine and not allowing it to breathe as if the DPF was clogged.

Just wondering if this is the nature of the beast and one of the reasons guys are deleting the emission stuff?
