6.7L Starter damaged flywheel

At 3500 miles my new F-350 6.7L powerstroke starter chewed the teeth off the flywheel. appears starter began rotating before engaging teeth on flywheel. A guy posting on thedieselstop.com experienced the same thing.
The dealerships changed my starter and flywheel and took a week to do it. The other guy experienced the same. The day before my starter damage occured I smelled an electrical fire odor. Today, 1000 miles later, I smelled the same odor. I suspect I will have the same failure occur again soon. Does anyone have any ideas on the probable root cause? Please help! Ford has been no help. Thanks in advance.

Taking it to dealer tomorrow.
