Well called the dealership and they said there was no "error code" so they were trouble shooting still. I mentioned that in the past there was problems with air getting in the fuel lines of these trucks, so might want to check that. I get a call later saying they think the low pressure pump is sucking air and have to order a new one. WTH?!?!
They said it's ok to drive, just may take multiple attempts to start and I'm to bring it back monday for the new part installation. The truck runs rough, clatters like the old ones did now, and obviously isn't right. Will catastrophic failures (ie- rod, valves, etc) be picked up by a computer? Could the low pressure pump sucking air be the culprit of this problem by itself?
They are getting too dependent on what the computer tells them, and not using critical thinking skills. In my field we call it "treat the patient, not the machine"......grrrr
