Best non-HID bulbs for our trucks???

Thinking about switching from my cheap HID kit (I don't have projectors) back to regular bulbs. Considering PIAA but would like to get some opinions first. I drive a lot at night and would like to be able to see further than what I could with my stock bulbs or my HID's.

I keep hearing that LED's are similar to HID's in that they are intended to be run in projectors.

Dont waste your money. I bought the sylvania zxe bulbs, supposed to be closest thing to an hid, they are garbage and weren't much whiter then the stock bulbs. Spend the money and buy a good quality hid kit

I had PIAAs on my Ranger. They were a lot better than stock. But then I bought a set of Retro Solution 55w HIDs and love then even more.

Although my truck isn't an 11-14, I'm running LED's in my factory 05 headlights and they don't produce any glare and throw a very even beam pattern. They put out much better light than stock.

HIDs put out more light but the beam pattern from LEDs is more evenly spread out, so in my opinion LEDs are better and I've owned both.

Here's a pic at night:

Lifetime LEDs. I ordered them from Covertlights.com. Fast shipping. H-13 bulbs and the 2011-14 trucks use that same bulb.

I have had expensive and cheap HID's they all have eventually took a crap on me. Check out Josh at the diesel cartel, he is selling a plug and play led oem replacement. They use the factory pigtail for power so there is no harnesses or replays to go bad. I don't have a set but from reviews and pictures they look a lot cleaner than HIDs. Only way I would go HID is if your retroing projectors.
