Headlights

There have been a number of threads on hreadlight options. I recently drove from Steamboat Springs, CO to Dencer at night and I was white knuckled the entire way. I was really scared and I have better than 20/20 vision and I could barely see anything. I had order, waiting on brackets, Rigid LED fog lamp replacements and a 20 inch bar for the bumper. The bumper bar is a two row model with dense and diffused rows.

I would love to do something about the headlights. From a simple Silverstar buld replacement to a whole headlamp replacement. My issues with the whole headlamp replacement is, in part, the look. I have a King Ranch white and tan and I want to keep the chrome look. I would like a significant improvement in output and distribution of light. I do not want people flashing me at night because I am blinding them. I am not going to do straight HID replacements with the stock lenses. The Anzo's look pretty good with the light pipes. Is the light output that much better though? I also saw the recommendation of the custom guys in Texas. That is an attractive option but I am concerned about long term reliability.

I am looking for thoughts from the collective. If I go the Anzo route I will likely get the LED tailights as well. I know you can replace the bulbs in the Anzo's with HID's but I do not want to go that route.

How does this work? Do you sell the whole light assemblies, or does the buyer pick options, you guys do such, then when the buyer receives their new lights, they send in their old lights, like a core charge? I've seen another vendor do that and thought it was pretty practical and cost efficient.

I like the projector upgrade, but if you're looking for a more budget friendly upgrade, the Silverstar Ultras are definitely an upgrade over stock.

2012 F-250 XLT 4x4 - H&S tuned - Sinister EGR delete - Flo-Pro 5" downpipe back - Method "Mesh" 18x9 - Toyo M/T 35x12.50 - more to come..

if you want the best light output and want the light pattern right with an HID a projector retrofit is the way to go. im doing my own projector retro fit as we speak on my motorcycle. Cary at CT will seem expensive but for the light output and time it takes to do a quality job its definitely worth it. you will have bright headlights without effecting others on the roads. The silverstars/ piaa extreme white dont do much and tend to burn out faster. if you would like to try a set i have a pair of h13 sylvania ZXE white halogen bulbs that i used when i was waiting on my HID that id sell for pretty cheap if youd like to try them. i ran them for about a week and back in original packaging. if you can afford to be without your lights for a little go with the retrofit from cary.
