New Shocks to Improve Ride - Leveled Truck

Okay so I am about to level a 11 F-250. I will be using a 1.5" higher block in the rear (F-350 size block I believe, it measures about 3.75") and a 2" spacer in the front. Not a 2.5 just 2". My truck doesn't ride too bad stock, but I can't see the leveling kit helping. I have less than 11k on it but I figure once I hit 30 I will replace the shocks.

What do you recommend? Fox? Icon? 90% street driving but a lot of the roads are in terrible condition with pot holes...

I just put Bilstein 5100's on mine. The old stockers had 116,000 on them and were utterly destroyed and leaking. Unbelievably better ride quality. I know a lot of guys can vouch for the Bilsteins. I'm not leveled, but Bilstein makes a shock for all ride heights. I got mine at 4wheelparts and they were an awesome price. Look into who makes each shock. Icons are made by either Edelbrock or Bilstein so you're basically paying more for the same product.

PS
I hear ya about the terrible road conditions in IL. Lived in Morris for about 2 years. Hated every minute of driving in that state.

Icon isn't made by Bilstein anymore.

I've got Bilstein 5160s and have been really happy with them. I had Icon bypasses on my last truck, and went with these this time just to see how much better(if any) the Icons were. Considering the price difference, the bilsteins seem to be a really good value. They ride good, but not quite there. I will more than likely get either custom valved shocks or the new Icon with CDC adjustment valve at some point. The 5160s are really nice, but I could always stand for a nicer ride.

I've heard some good things about the fox 2.0s being softer than the bilstein 5100 and icon 2.0s so those may be worth a look. But I've also heard that the softness can make it feel less controlled compared to the bilstein or icon.

Best for the $ are the Bilsteins..after than the more money spent the better it becomes..but differences get smaller as the price climbs.

Would there be much advantage to the 5160's over the 5100's? Maybe 5160 up front and 5100 in rear? Do you guys sell them?

I could be wrong, but I believe the 5160 is the same valving and body as the 5100 but it has an oil reservoir.
