Limo Tint in Texas legal?

So I see tons of trucks (and cars) in Texas with Limo tint on all windows with the brow on the windshield.

Is this legal? I thought I heard a year or so ago that Texas passed something a while back that it was now legal to limo tint the front windows. Or is there just a bunch of brave souls running around lol.

Curious cause I would love to save my interior from the sun in the summer here in Texas. Plus it looks sick on a white F250 IMO

Still illegal..Depending on where you live how often they mess with you.
I haven't been messed with in past two trucks about tint. My buddy who lives down near Sugarland only lasted three days before he was stopped, twice.

Just depends on your local law enforcement and troopers if you run highway frequently. gives them a reason to stop you.

Yep. Only the legal limit allowed on the front windows and nothing below the AS1 line on the windshield. My brow tint goes about an inch under the AS1 line, but that was to make it come flush with the bottom of the "SUPER DUTY" markings located in the top-middle. I don't know why you want to do limo tint on the front windows. I had limo tint on the back windows, but switched to about 10% to make things easier for me.

I have my front windows matched to the back but my last truck was not this way. I think I had thirty. I think I may go back to 30.

It all depends on how the cops are in your area and also how big of a risk taker are you. I have my front windows matching my factory rear (~15%) and my windshield tinted to (~35%) and I did my sunroof to (~15%). I dont like people looking in at me, plus I like to people watch and now they cant see me! haha

How does one deal with inspection and registation stickers belonging on the windshield when the windshield is tinted?

Legal front (driver /pass windows) maximum darkness is 35%, nothing below as1 line (but as dark as u want down to the line from the top), as dark as u wanna go on the back windows. They only care about the front d/p windows and the as1 line

you have to play with it to not get messed with. I drive through houston from SW to E side with no issues. Back widow and rear seats have 5% over factory and fronts have 15% so it gives a contrast and appears that the fronts would be legal based on how dark the back windows are.
