OEM Fender Flare Removal

Has anyone removed the factory Fender Flares? What does it look like without them and what does it look like with just the bottom two tone paint?
Anything pictures would help.

I would not suggest removing them unless you are going to install an aftermarket set. The pinstripe on the two tone does not go behind the flares, and the flares have some diabolical double sided tape that hold them on at the outer edge that really sucks to remove. I cant say this for sure on the 11+ trucks b/c I havent put aftermarket flares on mine yet, but my 05 and 08 were that way.

I removed my Adobe flares more than a year ago. I doubt anyone has noticed the pinstripes falling short of the wheel well and I haven't had the inclination to remove them.

The double sided tape isn't difficult to remove. Just gently, but firmly, pull the flare off the fender and clean up residue with a razor blade.

You need to be careful when removing the push pins (and maybe screws, I don't recall) from the flange. I bent one of mine, but was able to straighten it out.

I think the truck looks much better without the flares. The downside to removing them is that a dent on the front side was reveiled. I assume the dealer installed the flares to cover up someone's incompetence.

Do you have any pictures. I noticed the stripes falling short but was going to redo the stripe in a different color possibly.

Is it worth trying to buy someones take off factory flares or just buy new oem style flares? Im looking for flares because i plan to have the wheel/tire combo stick past the fender about 1" or so. Thanks guys
