Best shocks for leveling lift

What do y'all think are the best for just a 2.5" lift. I'm looking at the nighthawk shocks from top gunz customs. Anyone have feedback on them? I want to do something better than just bilsteins but I don't want to spend a couple grand on remote coilovers. What do y'all think??
Thanks,
Brad

I'm also curious, but I haven't seen much reviews about them. Hope someone will chime in.

im not sure if the NHS are rebranded pure performance or from the same maker.

i have the 2.625" and removed them after 100 miles. they were way too stiff for everyday usage.

i now have procomp pro runners, and i'm much happier with them.

What brand are the 2.625? And that's a pretty big bore shock. Do you know what they are rated for?

I have Icon's Stg 4 2.5" kit that came with remote reservoir shocks, that are a bit stiff, but a lot of the guys on here swear by the Bilstein 5100s, those or Fox/King shocks, which are really expensive.

So what do y'all think is the best ride for a decent price? I've got carli 2.5" coils and I'm buying pieces for the lift as I go. Still plan on buying shocks, rear 4" block, trac bar, steering stabilizer and at least rear traction bars

In most cases you are always best off getting shocks from the same company as your springs since the nicer shocks will be valved to that spring rate. So in your case if you are looking for something better than off the shelf Bilsteins I would get a set of Carli shocks. Which ones will depend on what you plan to use the truck for.

I would also suggest skipping the big block and traction bars and either getting Carli Mini Packs or do an 08+ leaf spring swap using Carli/Deaver full leafs.
