2013 platinum running board lights

I have a 2013 Platinum 350 and added some led lights to the running boards using the factory connector on the frame the lights worked for 3 months then just stopped working I tested the lights they still work and checked the plug on the frame and am not getting power I checked the fuse for the dome light and all is good also had it at the dealer but since the lights aren't from ford they say its my problem any one have any ideas as why there isn't any power to the frame connector? I have checked all the fuses and none are blown

Did you check the plug power with the door open? If I remember right the running board lights only came on with the door open and when you unlocked with the key fob.

Yes I tried checking it with the door open also with the dome light turned on with the switch on the dash as according to the owners manual they are on the same circuit as the dome lamps and cargo lamp which both are still functioning as normal just not the board lights
