best way to change bumpers?

hey guys I want the paintable bumpers on my super duty, can you just buy the black bumper cover and replace the chrome cover on the factory bumper or are you better off getting a complete new bumper? if you can do it piece by piece and use your other stock parts what parts do I need?

is there a parts list? and how labour extensive is it(worthwhile or not)??

I am debating the same thing right now. I am thinking about wrapping the front and rear chrome instead of painting. Will be nice to get the rest of the chrome of the front of the truck.

I just want to know if we can swap out the one piece of the bumper that's chrome for the painted piece and be good to go or if your better off getting a complete new bumper!

You can but you need to take off the plastic trim piece carefully so you can snap it back into place.
