Tonneau Cover / Truck Cap

Hello Guys,

I am looking for some photos of your trucks with tonneau covers, hard and/or soft, as well as truck caps. I just recently purchased a '13 Lariat CCSB then found out that my wife is going to be having our first child. I instantly regretted (not completely, though) not having purchased an SUV as I was also shopping Grand Cherokee SRT8s, but think I will be fine with the truck. Any experience or advice would be highly appreciated as there are quite a few options available. Just to throw it out there, the two options that I think I like the most are the Gaylords X2000 (stil available, but just recently discontinued) or the Leer 100XQ.

Thanks,
Tim

I have a Truxedo soft cover on my truck. It is a self locking cover with the bars velcroed to the cover, that way you do not have to mess with taking the frame on and off when you want to put something large in the bed.

Here is a link to the cover that I have.

I have the Leer

Frankly I'm not happy with it.

The door is a 'slam lock' according to their website and they aren't kidding. You really have to slam it and frequently it still doesn't latch so you have to wack both sides.

Also the fit to the body is poor at best, I can fit my thumb between the cap and bed in several spots.

They didn't color match it correctly either.

A friend has the ARE on his Chevy and it's a much nicer cap. Less $ too.

Details? That looks great? Does it retract or what?

I have a 5th wheel I tow occasionally so I need to have easy access with that.

Why would it have made a difference it if was an SUV? You still got a crewcab. That's plenty of room with lots of extra (the bed).

You ever shoot a machine gun on Peyote? ****in' bad ***, man.
