2012 Daytime running lights

We just bought a 2012 F350 xlt. Our headlight swith is just a 3 position switch, with off, running lights, and lights on, no auto mode. We bought it used, and we were told it came out of Canada. When you put the truck in drive, or reverse, the headlights come on, even if the switch is only in the running lights position. Is there a way to disable this, without having the truck throw a code, or doing anything that will jeopordize the warranty? Our truck is bone stock, with no add on's, tuner, or anything. As far as we know, it is exactly the way it came from the factory.

Look in your manual to see if there is a DRL fuse, if there is then all you have to do is pull out the fuse.
If there is no fuse for the DRL's, then you can take it in to the dealer and have them program your trucks computer to disable them.
