Opinions on what i might do next to my truck.

Well i've been bored lately, and when i get bored i start thinking lol. I've said before that i wasn't going to lift my truck anymore or go any bigger with tires, but now im thinking about 24's and 37's with my next set. I know some of you don't like that combination, but they will be black so it won't be too gaudy.

With that being said i am also tired of the up keep of chrome wheels. My diesels haven't started pitting yet but i know its just a matter of time, and they look like crap three days after i wash them from brake dust.

Idk if you have seen them yet but KMC has started taking pre-orders for the Rockstar II's. I know how played out the first ones are and personally i've never liked them, but these have an insert that can be painted and a deep lip if the insert is removed.

here's a picture of the rockstar II's:

Now to what i would do:

PTM the front and rear bumpers tuxedo black (plan on doing this either way)

Get clear mirror lenses

Get 24x12 rockstar II's and have the entire wheel painted tuxedo black.

Send the insert pieces off to get chromed

And run 37x13.5x24 toyo open countrys.

i've made a photoshop below that kind of shows what i mean. i think it would look pretty cool.

it would go from this:

I kinda like it. You know those will be as played out as the old ones though, right?

ha yeah im sure they will get played out soon, but to be honest i've only seen rockstars in person on a truck like 5 times and 3 of them were my friends old trucks.

i like the way it looks though. i don't think i would see anyone with ones like mine since they would be tuxedo black and the inserts would be chrome plated. i don't think you can get them in chrome so that would have to be custom done by anyone else.

either way i've got a lot of life left in my trail grapplers so i guess i have some time to decide.

Yeah the Photoshop on the front bumper looks real. I just wrapped my grill surround so I'll have to get it painted too. My friend that has a body shop is suppose to get back to me on if they will paint over chrome. Some will and some won't.

Yeah that's what some people say. I would think it would work as long as it's sanded pretty good and sprayed with adhesion promoter first
