Polished Stainiless Rocker Covers Install

I like the look of the polished stainless steel rocker covers. Has anyone installed these, or have the specifications for where they should go. I'm told that you have one shot to apply them, there is no adjustment possible with the contact adhesive. My Super Duty has the body side moldings giving a good reference line. But there is no reference line on the box.

Whate height and what line should a guy use to attach the rocker covers? Do I use my laser to establish a level line?
