2011 pitman arm removal.
Hey. Just a quick question for those who have done lifts on their truck. I'm doing my 6" this weekend, just wanted to know if anyone had problems removing it? I have heard some horror stories...
The truck is only a 2011 and we have a puller, just still scares me a bit. I heard its a 1 13/16. Can Anyone confirm? Any tips? Thanks in advance! Sent from AutoGuide.com App |

I put a 4" lift on mine, and cant really remember the size other than it was a large size socket. With regards to the puller, we were using a puller from snapon and well we broke the grip teeth (claw part) on it. Lucky for us, advance auto parts had one you can rent (i think it was like 90 bucks, but get it all back once returned), and well it is acutally better (the teeth are larger on it for a better bit, if that makes sence). Other than that, it was easy.

I just did mine. I couldn't get the puller from advance to fit the pitman arm. Tried a two arm puller and broke that. Ended up pulling the steering box from the truck and grinding the pitman arm down until the puller fit it.
