moisture in headlight

I was installing strobes in my headlights and i guess i did not apply enough silicon to the back of the strobe, and now i have moisture in the light housing. I have tried to use an air compressor to blow some of the moisture out, but the water drops just go to the bottom of the housing. Does anyone know a good way to get the moisture out?

First, you have to make sure the unit is completely sealed. You'll have to get a vacuum pump and then drill a small hole in the housing in a location that is not detrimental to the operation of the lights or appearence of the unit. This hole will have to be sealed when you're done. Using a cone shaped rubber stopper with a hole in it adapt it to the vacuum pump suction and evacuate the unit for 24 hrs. This will remove the moisture. Watch the housing for deflection as the plastic may not be strong enough to withstand the vacuum and could cause the housing to implode. When you plug the hole some moisture laden air will enter because of the vacuum. How quick are you? To eliminate any air, tee and valve your vacuum line into a nitrogen bottle. After evacuation is complete, add the nitrogen slowly and without pressurizing the unit. When the nitrogen has filled the unit remove the cone stopper and plug the hole. The nitrogen will prevent the moisture laden air from entering during the changeover.
