Use of courtesy time out
Planning to get a set of dual white and amber LED's to mount on the step rails
I got the Ambers figured out to be running and turn signals. What I am struggling and looking for some help is that I want to have the white LED's come on just until I get to the vehicle and then shut off Thinking of using the courtesy timer circuit for that but have no clue where/how to access The other option is using a control signal that I would tap off when the vehicle is removed from park Help in either of those plans or suggestions for another method are greatly appreciated |

Not sure about the XLTs but on the Lariats there are unused connectors for running board lights you can tap into. Up under the truck, maybe two-thirds the way back the length of the running boards.
I installed while LED lights above the running boards, and they come on with the courtesy lights, and fade out with them as well. Here's a vid: https://picasaweb.google.com/1067113...15398252416306 |
