Tire Choices??? Stock f-250
Just picked up a great set of XD 22x9.5 wheels for my truck. I'm going to keep my truck stock height, so I wanted to get a wheel that is proportionate to the truck and wheel well. (Not much offest with these wheels)
From what I've read on the forum, you can stuff a 37 tire underneath a stock height truck, but you will rub significantly and you have little to no travel. I want to put a tire on that will fill the well nicely, but not sacrifice the steering capability or vertical suspension travel. I was thinking a 33-34? Or can a 35 fit without sacrifice? I like the Nitto Terra's for a mild traction update and look. I don't need Toyo MT's. Are there any alternatives to the Terra's that I should consider? As always, thanks for the great input and I appreciate any and all feedback. Last edited by jettob; 07-06-2012 at 01:33 PM. |

A 325/50R22 Terra Grappler should be just perfect. Please don't ruin a beautiful ford with BFG All Terrains

285/55/22 34.3" tall - Almost the same as factory. Look great and won't mess up your speedo too bad. I wouldn't run a 325 on a 9.5" wheel with a positive offset. To run a tire that wide you need the wheels to stick out or the tires are going to rub.
