Full Air Ride (without 4 link) configuration???
I have a 2011 F350 Crew Cab Long Bed 4x4 with a 6.7 diesel. I use this truck as a daily driver and for towing (13,000 lbs fifth wheel and bumper pull) and hauling 4000 lbs.
The suspension while unloaded is horrible and stance is way to high. What I'd like to do is the following WITHOUT sacrificing the trucks hauling and towing capabilities. Rear Remove the 3 1/2" leaf spring block and replace with 1" Remove as many leaf springs as possible (without converting to a 4 link setup) Remove bump stops Install AirBag Front Remove Coil springs Remove bump stops Install AirBag 1 - I want to be able to lower the truck to the frame while parked (for loading and good looks). 2 - I'd like to be able to set it at a pre-determinded height (lower and level than stock) unloaded for daily driving with a drastically improved ride. 3 - I'd like to be able to raise it up to allow for towing and hauling. 4 - From "slammed" height, I'd like to be able to raise it to the max height in about 3 seconds or less from stored air only (without having the compressors kick in). My truck's specs Empty Weight 6504 Payload 4000 GVWR 10504 Towing Bumper 14000 Towing Fifth Wheel 15700 Front Axle Rating 6000 Rear Axle Rating 7200 Do I need to replace my shocks? What bags, tank capacity, compressor, valves and air line sizing do you recommend and why? |
