There not any stronger the the stock ones. They use the same mount points. There really just tough looking step bars.

How much mud/snow/rocks/etc builds up in those pockets? Looks like they would fill up pretty quickly.

No build up yet. I was in 14"+ of snow a few weeks back they just got real dirty thats all. Have not found one rock yet. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough.
