Aux Fuel Tank/Tool Box installed
Here are some pics of my install.
First I have to say the two side mounting tabs would have hit the sides of the truck where it rolls up and wouldn't have laid flat and would make mounting it a pita. So I made the 1x1 inch frame to mount it on and now the side tabs are not an issue. And instead of running the hose through the ruff edges of the bed I installed the bulkhead fitting. Once the hose goes under the bed it connects to a fuel filter then a fuel pump and finally a solenoid valve. I have them wired to up lifter switch #3 in the cab. I also added a blinking LED down low so I can see when I am transferring fuel and don’t forget to shut it off. Now if I need to remove the tank I can unbolt it from in the bed and leave the frame attached never having to crawl under the truck again. |

Very clean install. I like it. How much fuel does it hold and what brand is it. I've looked at the TransferFlows and they're way too much money.

It's made by RDS, Northern Tool sells them. That one looks to be a 40-50 gallon model

Will the RDS tank gravity drain into the main?

Thats awesome.

Yes it will gravity feed if you have the RDS kit that NorthernTool sells. I used the kit but cut the gravity feed part off due to having the pump and 12 volt shut off valve.
