ICON 2.5 Full Kit Installed

Awesome product. The installation was pretty simple. I got impatient and didn't wait to use the shop and just did it in my driveway.

Installation:

Front - Pretty straight forward. I used two massive jack stands and my Matco "Beast" 3 ton floor jack to get the job done. First, I removed the wheels obviously. Disconnected the sway bar. Removed the stock shocks. I then lowered the front axle enough to get the old springs (and AS leveling kit) out. Replaced it with the ICON springs. Fastened the sway bar back and installed the new shocks. I then lowered the truck back down and removed the factory track bar. I started with the ICON track bar 1/4" longer than the factory one and buttoned it back up. From there I messed around with the adjustment until I got the axle centered how I wanted it.

Rear - Also very straight forward. I jacked up the rear and used the same giant jack stands I used for the front and put them on the front leaf spring perches. I then removed the factor shocks. Removed factory U-Bolts and blocks. Replaced them with the 4" fabricated blocks and used the supplied longer U-Bolts to reassemble. *NOTE* Retourqe the U-Bolts after about 5 miles. I couldn't believe how much they loosened in a just a few minutes of suspension cycling. As for the rear shocks, very straight forward. There are two different sized spacers for the top mounting of the 2.5 shocks. The larger one goes on first towards the frame. (I learned the hard way why).

Initial impressions. AWESOME kit. Very nice merchandise and the ride is better than factory. The shocks look amazing. I had them on my last truck custom made for the Rize kit.

Man that thing looks good. Icon is one of the kits I'm looking at along with Carli. Looks real good though and cool that it rides as good as stock or better.

Nah, these are just 35's. The mileage difference between the two sizes is just insane. I'll be sticking with 35's.

That bad huh? I really dig the looks of 37's more, but I'm not gonna sacrafice an arm and leg to do so! I'm about to bite on a set of 35's on 22's from craiglist anyway!
