Rinseless Wash Method

Hello all, so I've spent some time on Autopia.org a wonderful professional detailing forum, and as a result of this research my truck is in the shop as we speak getting a full exterior detail, and then getting the Opti-Coat. Now the purpose for this thread is to spread my recently obtained knowledge of a new method of washing our trucks to prevent swirls and/or marring - also very convenient for limited space or apartment livers. Which improper washing seemed to be the cause the damage to my lovely new paint
Anywho I recommend everyone gives this video a watch:

Now, I will say that I plan on using this method, NOT his product. You can do it with any RINSELESS car soap, NOT WATERLESS those are two different things. I use Optimum No Rinse, link below.

Final conclusion, I have mixed his method of washing with the product of my choice. I highly recommend this procedure to anyone, especially to those (like myself, currently living on a military base) with limited access to materials/apartment complex etc. I just don't think enough people are aware of how much damage your really doing to your paint from improperly washing. Now obviously there will be the occasion when you need to run to a coin power washing joint when your truck looks like mine does in my sig, and then follow with this method. But I really love this method just wanted to share the wealth, and will have pics of my freshly opti-coated truck on sunday when i get it back

Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine: clay lubricant, optimum rinseless wash, no rinse car wash, optimum detailing products

We use the rinseless stuff on the race cars on track weekends in hotel parking lots. Works great in a pinch.

I think the key of that product is the distilled water.

I still can't bring myself to do a waterless wash. I still am a believer in a two bucket method of washing my cars and trucks.

Well its not technically waterless, I am also not a fan of the spray and wipes. The rinseless and waterless are different as noted in the video.

But yes its also not a two bucket either. I just think this way eliminates ANY chance of reintroducing dirt back onto the vehicle.

Great for certain applications.

I'll stick with the $14.99/month unlimited brushless car wash...I go a few times per week so my rig is never very dirty to begin with...I just jump out afterwards and towel-dry & wipe the door jambs...then run the free vacuums through the truck...10 minutes for inside/out clean.
