110V (?)

The 110v A/C (I think that's what it's called) in the back seat of my truck won't hold a plug. The power works fine, the socket itself is loose. Everything falls out, I have to hold a plug in the socket for anything to work.

Is there either a way to tighten the socket up or has anyone replaced one? How difficult is the process?

Not sure if any adjustment. I highly doubt there is. I suspect you will have to replace it.

Even thought this thread is not about the power plug, it does show how to access the area the plug is located...hope it helps.

I checked my credit card statement and found a charge from my Ford Dealer for $8.54. I get a 10% discount. Easy to replace, had two tabs on each side. Just sort of worked it out with a small screwdriver.

Now the serpentine belt we replaced at 100k, it was around $120.00, may be a little more, from the dealership.

Had to just replace the water pump at 105k, the aftermarket warranty covered $600 of the total $700 replacement cost.
