OEM Navigation

Guys, I am getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger on OEM navigation for my truck. Just want to know a few things before doing so.

Does the OEM navigation for 2011-12 trucks require any kind of subscription to work? I know I will have to transfer my Sirius subscription over, but other than that is there anything needed to make the unit itself fully functional?

Stock for now.

Also, does anyone know how much it cost to get a unit VIN unlocked if buying used?

if its myfordtouch like our platinum or our new explorer it aint worth it. alot of people are having problems with the nav and it just so happens both of our vehicles with myfordtouch screw up. it shows you driving off the road and stuff. the platinum has been back to the dealer twice to have it looked at and it doesnt fix it

Look in to navtv. Have it in my new one and wouldn't have it any other way. Had oem Nav on my old truck and ended up using my phone more because oem was terrible.

I purchased a nav unit for my 2011 F350 from this seller on eBay, Jim and his id is lothar551. I received everything needed for radio to include gps antenna and steering wheel switch if installed switch didn't work. Jim worked with me when i was having problems during installation. He also referred me to another person that made me a cable to also show the rearview cam in the radio along with the mirror where it originally was viewed with nav radio.

Price was approx $1700
