Seek buttons on stereo

Sometimes the seek buttons on my radio some how get stuck on a setting that only allows it to seek through about 5 different stations. They will not seek through the entire radio band. If I want to go through all of the stations I have to use the up and down buttons beside the cd player which takes forever.

I have taken it to the dealer before because of the buttons on the steering wheel doing this. They said some of the settings got changed in the stereo some how and they corrected it and I didn't think to get them to show me how.

I have looked through the stereo over and over and cannot find any setting like this. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Try to push and hold the seek button on the steering wheel.

The seek has to be held down to go through the entire band. Otherwise it will scroll through your preset channels only. I can't figure out how to hang up the blue tooth phone using the wheel controls after a call.

When I hold it down it does the same thing. This is not how it has always been. It has done this once before and I mentioned it to the dealer when I dropped it off for an oil change . When I picket it up it worked perfectly. Stayed that way for several months and now back to this. He said it was something in the settings, however, I can't figure it out. I am going to get him to show me how to correct it when I take it in next time.

You're seeking through the Sat Radio and looking for one type of music genre. In your case, you are seeking for the Latino genre so you will only look through the Latino genre stations. You need to go to the menu and choose seek all. As for the steering wheel buttons, mine always are just my favorites but I also have the MyFord touch.

Thanks for the reply. I have looked and looked through the menu and haven't seen any way to do this. I really do be think it is this simple though. I'm just over looking something somewhere.
