System with My Ford Touch

I believe I am going to pull the trigger on a 2015 when they get released. I am trying to determine what system future capabilities I would have. Has anyone installed a system that has the My Ford touch?? Also I am assuming Ford hasn't upgraded their poor premium sound from what I can gather from google. Just want confirm that and ask opinions from you guys. thanks

IMO I probably would've gotten my 14 w/o the My Touch system if I could, unfortunately when ordering a King Ranch or Platinum you don't have a choice. Don't get me wrong the system is nice, but with mine ever since I picked it up, whenever I shut down the truck, when I start it back up, I have to switch to my IPod if I was on Sirius, or to Sirius if I was on my iPod, just to get sound. The overall sound quality I think is good, better than my 10. The nav is good, haven't had any issues with that. I still need to figure out how to use pandora app on my phone through the system, it is supposed to be setup for phone apps.

I put in 2 pioneer 10's with a DD amp. Took out the factory sub and hooked into the factory amp for low out. It sounds great.

I plan on special ordering a 2015 so I might just get it with standard radio and build my own system. I have never seen a new f250 without the my touch screen? Do they even make them?

After the August 2013 Sync/MFT update, I like the headunit side of things. I replaced the front and rear mains removed the factory sub and installed the 13" JL sub. I have the amps listed in my signature. Sounds awesome. I don't have the problem with switching sources. It did some weird switching before the update when you restarted or started with the stereo running. I think it was linked to the USB port not being ready after the power cycle. Previously, if I was on USB, it would jump to the next source. Now it picks up where it left off and I'm pleased with how it operates.

I do wish it had hard buttons for the heat/cooled front seats. That would be one thing I'd change that's in the MFT touch screen.

The premium Sony speakers not any good? Also how are the sound settings? I do like the look of the My ford screen, i will have this truck for a long time want to make sure i get it outfitted exactly like i want.

Called the dealer and asked some questions and he said he couldn't order anything for me until march. That some dealers take orders early but its pointless until they start taking them at Ford

If you like 25W speakers, sure the Sony speakers are great. However, I'd guess they are 25W max since the amp is so small for the entire truck. There is no separate sub amp anymore. I think I recall the whole system amp is around 300W for all 10 speakers.

mind giving the details on how you wired the amps in and kept the use of all the stock MT features ?

I used a PAC LOC from the front speaker outputs and feed the amps with it. I may, in the future, pull the low level signal on the other connector, but haven't got around to it.

Another amp addition question on a 13

If the picture you can see the LOC feeding 4 channels, but I have the amp in 2 channel mode. The rear channels are muffled a bit out of the OEM amp.

I would like to add or replace factory amp with a jl audio 5 channel amp and the 13tw5 in their stealth box. My only concern is not having much adjustability, do not want my bass to outweigh the highs. I figure some component speakers with crossovers might would do the trick then you could raise bass on head unit and not follow trend into door speakers.

Im planning a little ahead want all my installs once i get this truck to go smooth.
