Lights

I am adding some LED lights inside and outside my truck. I installed some small LED under the dash, back side of the center console and a pair inside the center console. I have wired them to a double throw relay, with the normally open side wired a hot from the battery that the overhead dome lights closes when the lights are on and the normally closed side is hooked up to the upfitter switches so that I can turn the lights on while driving without the over head lights being on. Everything works great except I took power from the overhead dome light and it has the fade in and fade out thing going on and am afraid it is going to burn my relays out. you can hear them making noises when cutting on and off. Is there somewhere else I can get power from that doesn't fade?

You don't need a relay, just wire them to the upfitter switch normal. And for the dome light feature, just run the dome light wire through a diode then into the LED hot wire.

True but I am gonna run more light then these and do not want to over load the factory circuit. I have another relay done the same way that is going to control bed lights and lights on the steps.
