Speaker wire options for amp.

Going to upgrade sound system in my '11 f250 with oem nav premium sound option. Was wondering what everyone is doing when they install a 4 channel amp. Tapping into oem wires by the amp or where? Or running new wire into doors?

I think most folks use the OEM wiring. I plan to use this kit once I choose the right amp to fit under the dash...

I had often wondered if replacing head unit, since most have an internal amp could you run wires off of new unit and splice into wires coming from factory amp then you would have amp wattage plus head unit wattage, Basically being like a upgraded amp, added wattage to the speakers.
