Pulling power

Maybe someone can help answer my question. Can I get power and ignition source from the hot wire in the trailer plug? I installed my firestone wireless air command system in my toolbox I need both for an air compressor for my air bags and instead of running all the way up front, I was wondering if I could just tap into the hot in the trailer plug. I figured it would give me both.

I tap off a connector in the rear. No issues. I run high quality taps though. Been working for over 20 months. I use it for my wireless compressor.
