Jl 13tw5 vs the 2 pioneer shallow mounts...

I searched this topic but couldn't find the answer I was lookin for... I am going to get a spl2k box and either want a single jl or the 2 shallow pioneer 12" subs. I have had systems in the past and always went big.. Either 4 kicker L7 or had the Rockford hx2 I think was the model number... Anyways I'm not wanting anything too crazy but do want quality.. Has anyone heard both and had a chance to compare them?

I'd go for the alpine type R it works better in a small sealed enclosure better than the JL

Why did you choose sealed over the ported? I know very little about the differences.
