Anyone have problems with the seek buttons on the steering wheel? changing stations

Like the title states.... I tend to flip through the radio stations and song tracks on my ipod a lot with the seek buttons on the steering wheel.. but it's been driving my crazy lately. If I push forward sometimes it will go back.. I press it again and it does the opposite... sometimes takes 5 presses to do the right function. At first I thought it was something with the ipod, but I confirmed it does it with the FM stations, and satellite radio as well.

If I press the seek buttons on the navigation unit I never have a problem though.
I'm not sure if anyone had this problem before or if it's even still under warranty. I kinda want to stay away from taking it into the dealer since i'm highly modded (plus I have the lockpick installed on the navigation.) Maybe the button is going bad and I can just swap it out?
Any thoughts?

This is on a 2012 lariat w/ nav

Mine has started doing the same thing the last couple weeks. I'm slightly unsure if I'm being lazy and not pressing the button quite "right" or if there's really an issue. I'll give it a while to see if it gets worse. It never does it more than once (i.e. not consecutive presses) so it's a bit hard to say.

Common problem. My '08 had the same issue as my '11. Sometimes the volume up does not work, other times my volume up actually activates the seek up button. I use my I-phone a lot and it gets annoying fast. It goes back to normal once I turn the truck off and back on. You'd think Ford would have found a solution by now.

Mine did the same thing but then I replaced my switches when I did my nav install and no issues.

How hard was it to replace the switches? Remove the airbag i'd assume?

Wow that's simple.
I thought their would be screws in there for sure. I'm going to try and replace my switch to see if it cures it.

Mine does it on the steering wheel at times. Its only the station up button. It randomly starts turning the volume up instead of moving the station forward. After I turn the truck off and restart it always works fine. Maybe I will mention this to the dealership when he replaces the oil pump in my transmission next week.

Didnt think it was that simple. Most likely going to change mine out. Ive had issues with almost all of the buttons needing to be pressed multiple times just to get them to work sometimes.
