2011 electrical system melt down

My 2011 F350 interior electrical had a melt down with no warning today. traction control light going on and off heater turning on and off radio/navigation doing the same. I tried disconecting battery for several minutes but upon restart system did the same thing. Also windows wont work power seats wont work still runs and drives but on the way to deal lost all dash lights spedo everything.... of course the truck just turned 38k miles and is now out of warranty. 2 years old almost to the day.
Frustrating to say the least... wondering what the chances Ford will be willing to step up to the plate and cover this repair.
Any Ideas on what it might be???

bad altenator, internal regulator was overcharging the battery, too much voltage was going to all the electronics and they shut down
