Switching Rearview Cam from Mirror to H/U

I'm thinking of getting an aftermarket H/U to replace the factory CD I have on my 2011 250. Right now the backup camera is wired to the rearview mirror. Any way to swap from the mirror to the aftermarket headunit I'm putting in? It's a Pioneer AVIC if that makes a difference..

Hopefully someone has done something like this before

Thanks guys!

just tried this on my 2012...there wasnt enough signal strength to run it thu the head unit. It was cutting out like there was a loose connection. You will need to add another camera (ie license plate). Hope this helps!!!!

I have mine ran to the head unit but its a licence plate camera. I'm not sure how its set up though. It was on the truck when I got it.
