2013 F250 Sony Audio

Does anyone have a review on this? I have a 2011 F250 with the "premium" sound that absolutely sucks. Was wondering if anyone had listened to the new system and if yall knew if it was possible for the dealer to put the Sony in my truck.

Will do. Hopefully someone will post that has heard the new system. I'm planning on calling the dealership in the next few days to see if they can do an upgrade as long as its worth the money.

2013 F250 Sony Audio

Its the speakers, before I installed my aftermarket nav unit, I replaced the stock speakers and this changes the sound majorly (depending on what speakers you buy). I put focal speakers, high quality but high price. I've put them in two of my vehicles and will buy focal everytime now.

That's good to know. I've been looking at Focals but haven't quite made my mind up on anything. Did you add an aftermarket sub too? I'm thinking a JL 8" or 10" at this point. Not trying to shatter any windows but I definitely need an improvement from the factory speakers.

Yes I did, I added a shallow mount 12" kicker with the matching box- came installed on the box, also filled with polyfill- makes the bass sound soo much better and crisp. Man you will not regret the focals I'm tellin you!! For a line converter I used an Audiocontrol LC2i. Which other members will vouch for this converter over the cheapass $25-30 converters.

Ok I just got off the phone with the dealership and they said that they could install the new Sony system in my truck but the guy said in all honesty it's not much better than what I already have. They wanted $2000 for the upgrade. I ended up ordering two sets of JL c2-570x door speakers for $110 a pair off of Amazon. Crutchfield is selling them for $180. As I said before, a sub could be in the works in the future but hopefully new door speakers will hold me over for a while. Thanks for your help!

Wow that's insane pricing!!! Hey FYI, order up the speaker connection pigtails so you don't have to cut the stock speaker connector. Takes the guessing out of which wire is negative and positive and the hassle for searching for a wire diagram. They're like $10.00
