Sync Help

Background:
I'm new to Sync...but I'm very experienced with electronics and connectivity. All of my vehicles in recent years have been equipped with factory navigation and bluetooth (Acura, Toyota, GM).

I can set up our iPhone 5s, iPad 2s, and kid's iPhone 4S...no problem. On my phone, I have the address book uploaded, speed dials set, recent calls, etc...everything is working fine. Music streams through bluetooth without fail from all devices.

Problem:
When I receive or make a phone call, the other party cannot hear me. I can hear them just fine. I can switch to my iPhone mic (or private call from the nav screen) just fine, back and forth...if I switch to my iPhone mic they hear me perfectly...switch it back to Sync mic and they can't hear me at all. Yes, I tried mute/unmute switch and volume adjustments. When they call me the caller ID is working...if they have a special ring tone it works as well.

What I've Done:
So far I tested the microphone in the truck by using the voice controls for the navigation...microphone works every time. I reset my phone, deleted and set both bluetooth systems back up, pulled the fuse for Sync and waited a long time, conducted a hard reset of the Sync system, tried using USB connection to see if it worked while plugged in, etc. Most of these steps I've done multiple times.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I'd hate to take the truck to the dealership for them to try to figure out...I've read some serious horror stories online while searching for my problem...seems like Sync problems at the dealership are like calling India for computer support...many appointments and lots of parts replaced, with questionable results.

Nope! I usually can fix or troubleshoot virtually anything...this must be a mic issue. I haven't had time to take it to the dealer...so I'm forced to not use Bluetooth for calls. Please let me know if you get answers before I do!
