Basic head unit problems
So I have a probox competition 8 sub behind the rear seat, a jl 13 under the rear seat, and all new interior speakers with the basic non nav ford cd radio. Anyways my radio seems to cut out like every 10 or 15 seconds like its trying to process info. The music doesn't stop and it's not whenever the subs are hitting. It just acts like a power drain. I think it's my head unit but not sure. If so give some ideas on what to do. New head unit? If so which one I want everything to work with the sync system like this one does.

The radio is cutting out... or sound from the speakers is cutting out? Does it also cut out when playing a CD or mp3 track? If so, and if the "music doesn't stop"... it doesn't sound as if the head unit is losing power.
From the info you've given, it sounds as if the circuit breakers on the speakers are popping and then resetting. Possibly the speakers arent able to handle in the input? |
