turning off sync

I do not want my factory sync, how do you pull the plug on it.is there a fuse just for that?.

I believe my DROID 2. the aftermarket radio is paired with the droid but is always disconnected.

Every morning it disconnects from my phone as well I just hit the reconnect on the phone and it works fine.

Couldn't you just delete the Sync handshake and be done with it, or disable Bluetooth when you get in the truck?

What harm is it doing to the phone? FWIW, my Atrix does not handle the pairing well, but my iPhone 4s does. Never had a problem. The Atrix disconnects all the time though.

Turns out the sync box is located under the driver side dash and can just be unplugged with no issues.

aftermarket head unit works just fine. Have all my funtions except the sync.

buletbob, do you have steering wheel controls? do they still work with the after market Head Unit?
