Getting ready to install alpine Ina-w910 headunit

Come Friday I'm ordering a navigation/DVD headunit for my truck and I'm pretty set on this one http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500INAW...-w910&skipvs=T
. Anyone have any experience with this or any suggestions on any other head units? $1100 is my budget for this. Thanks y'all.

I dont think u can ever really go wrong with an alpine....but i think pioneer gives ya more of a bang for buck....u can get almost the same thing in a pioneer for 1/3 less or so....If u dont mind spending the extra money, id go with the alpine...but might want to look into some pioneer head units....could save ya some money to put towards something else...

I've been an alpine man for years and never had a unit fail on me. Just wondering what other people had to say. I'll check out some pioneers. Thanks.

I installed a Pioneer avh p3400 in mine, don't have the cash flow for a full on navi at the moment. Fills the dash very well and sounds great. I really wish I would have known beforehand that there isn't a 12v signal wire in the stock harness, had me confused for a little while.

Ended up going with the alpine. I spent a couple of hours last night looking at different units and reading reviews and the alpine always came out on top. Hoping to get it put in next week. Thanks y'all.

How do you remove the head unit in these trucks?

Pull the USB adapter out and the 12v plug on the other side out (they just pop out). Remove the 2 7mm screws from behind those. Pop the whole bezel off.
