What do you mean "password protect" it? There is the My Key feature where you can have a key programmed not to allow the truck over a set speed limit, the radio volume at a certain level, etc.

by "Password protect" i need the governor to be "Locked" in the sense that it cannot be altered once it is put in, without a password or code to unlock it. it wouldn't matter if the only way to undo the governor would be to take it to the dealer, but i don't know if there is a way to accomplish that.

I don't know of anything like that other than My Key. Then you would have to use your admin key to change the governor.
