Remote Starter

Not sure if this has been covers already, but here goes:

I have a 2011 350 CC SRW and I'm not happy with the range on the factory remote starter. If I wanted to add an aftermarket system, is there a signal wire that can be triggered for remote start? Or do I have to fully install the aftermarket wiring? It seems to me that it should be possible to send the same signal to the BCM that the factory remote starter sends.

God no to the aftermarket. I feel your pain i have to go to my front window of my office to start it . There is a kit from Ford to bump to 1000ft or so and make it bidirectional (tells you once its started). Its was fairly cheap and got cheaper after i *****ed about a 80k (cdn dollars so the us guys dont passout. truck having a usuless remote start .

Not much to see after. But heres the before. Range is sick. The bidirectional feature is very cool. Tells you it started and blinks green while running. And the factory keyfob remote start still works the same if you dont have the fob handy or dont want to buy another.
