More pictures. It's a shame you can't see any of the box.

I also removed the factory USB plug and replaced it with the Clarion USB. it looks like it came from the factory.

Thanks guys, I put a lot of thought into it. The box wasn't that hard to build, I was just not excited about cutting my brand new truck.... but I did... It sounds great! The WOW factor using the 8's is cool. If I have to build another box, I don't think I would tune it to 35hz. It's too deep and a little boomy. I'm not into Ghetto bass. Again, it sounds great and I am my own worse critic.

Looks great. I have a garage full of stuff i pulled out of my f150 just waiting to get some spare time. How did you get through or around the molex plugs in the door? Or did you use the factory wires for the door speakers? Thanks man.

Factory wires. My truck did not have factory amp on highs. Made connection in dash.

Why do you guys want to cover the vents with dyno mat, what benefit does it serve? I assume a quieter ride....
I would also like to use the factory wires for the speakers so I didnt have to cut new holes for aftermarket speaker wires. Do you have a picture of what connections you made in the dash to accomplish this? If I had a factory amp for the highs, what issues would I run into that you did not? |
