Replaced factory head unit now have problems

Had factory unit replaced in my 2011 lariat. Factory was the nonnavigation unit with sync. Installer said i had to buy 225 worth of "pac" stuff to make it work. After writing a check for him to be in the dash the 3rd time sync doesnt work. Steering controls only work on volume and track. Usb plugin does nothing unless i use he one in the jvc head unit installed. Power to the head unit copletely shuts off if i dont put my seat belt on. He broke the Clip holding he usb dash connection for sync (need one of those now too). And left me with no manuals to try and fix this

New head unit is a jvc kw-nt30hd
Old unitwas single disc factoryunit
Sold me a pac swi-rc and a pac ms-frd1

Did i really need this just to have the steering wheel controls work with my jvc unit?
Where can i find install and programming guides for the pac stuff im afraid to let this yahoo back in my dash.....

Hey dude, I'm no expert, but you have the right interface msfrd-1. I tried two different swi's Axxess did not work, but the pac swi-p would give me volume up and down and search. I don't believe the sync will ever work with aftermarket HU. I removed my stock usb and ?mm connecter and replaced them with my Pioneer connecters for sync with Iphone. Good luck

My sync works but it doesn't show up on the head unit it has it's own display (PAC).

We must of sed the same installer, I had to fix it myself.
