Factory Sub change question?

So my previous F150 had the Sony have system and Sony sub. Since they were so hard to find (because of the disaster in Japan took out the plant) I was unable to get one in my 2011 F250. I know it has a sub in the back, but just doesn't sound as good as the sony did in my old truck. Has anyone swapped out just the sub and had good results? If so, what kind did you go with? Thanks in advance.

Generally speaking, the aftermarket has much higher performing products than any OEM will offer at more affordable prices. If it were my truck, I'd go with something like a JL Audio Cleansweep, a nice 5 channel amp, and a subwoofer of your choosing. That way you can get some real power to your speakers and sub.
