capped female plugs?

I was looking around for a place to mount back-up lights and noticed a couple of plugs along the drivers side hitch mount - one with 2 green caps and one with 6 blue. anyone know what these are intended to be used for? probably something obvious but wiring isn't my 'strong point'...

sorry for no photo - camera is MIA

thanks

Do you have trailer wiring on the bumper already?

Yes - the trailer connector is all wired up. these capped plugs are about a foot before the back of the truck and the wire bundle runs back behind the spare tire mount and up to the frame rail where it appears to tie in to main bundle (with the trailer wires etc) running towards the cab. if i can find a camera ill post a photo.

I was wondering this too. I was installing my 7 pin harness in the bed and noticed these plugs. I have the camera also.

These are used when you have the in-bed trailer hook up from the factory...for gooseneck/fith wheel hookup harness.

The smaller one is the brake controller output, the other one is the one that has stop/turn/park/power/reverse in it.

Cool, that's what I was hoping. Now I can wire a mini tailgate lite bar and not have to splice anything.

I had to splice mine for the parking, but I did use the CMHSL wire for brake.

I bought one of these and mounted in the center like the DRW have...and its nice with the brake light feature too.

I did not want the LINE of fire LED, as it was too much $$$ and a "Fad"

I bought one similar to that before at a trailer repair shop. I got it in smoke though. I did some investigating and came up with this

its a rude diagram, but it gets the job done!
