Upgrading to Nav system

Hi all,

I have a 2011 F350 with the factory AM/FM/CD/Sirius, I'm looking to upgrade to the Factory OEM DVD/NAV system. I have found a factory dvd/nav unit that was removed from a 2010 F350. Will this unit work in my truck and does it invole any other parts or would it be plug and play?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Where did you find the nav unit at? I also would like to upgrade to the nav after the fact but I cannot find a unit anywhere.

I bought the 2010 unit off a buddy of mine. I haven't seen to many of them around.

I would imagine it would work. Did you get the factory GPS antennae? You'll have to drill a hole in your roof for it. Also, I don't know if the steering wheel buttons are essential to the radio function or not.

I did not get the antenna. I can order it through my dealer.

subscribed as i wanna do the same.... but isnt 2010 SD different dash...? was sync in the 2010's?? thanks can anyone find a PN for the 2011-2012 dvd/navi? i can get ford parts at cost... thanks

here are the other parts you will be needing if you decide to switch from a premium voice nav. to the DVD nav. unit.

I have an extra nav unit if anyone is interested. It came out of an 11' Econoline and needs to be programmed, but is fully functional and like new. Asking $1,200. Pm if interested.
